Consumers Food Safety & Quality Conference (CFSQC) 2012

Consumers in Pakistan expect the foods they consume to be safe – whether sourced from Pakistan or beyond. Unfortunately a number of high profile crises have undermined consumer confidence in the ability of the food industry and government to deliver safe food. However, governments and the food industry are working harder than ever to assure the safety of food through mandatory procedures.

Food is essential, and safety should be a top priority. Food safety is closely related to people's lives and health, economic development and social harmony. We must create a food safety system of self-disciplined food companies with integrity, effective government supervision and broad public support to improve overall food safety."
